![]() Gladys is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years in 2010, Donald Morris parents, Otto and Mary sisters, Eleanor, Lorraine, Florence, Marge brother Bill. Gladys is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Russ) Klette, Great Falls, Rod (Patti) and Randy (Donna) both of Baker 5 grandchildren, Erik (Karlee) Morris, Evan Morris, Kaileigh (Blayne) Higgins, Jade (Morgan) Klette, Kamiree (Jon) Chapman three great-grandchildren, Ambreigh Morris Higgins, Grey Chapman, Cole Chapman several nieces and nephews. One of Gladys special highlights was being chosen “Lady of the Year” by the sorority groups in Baker and “Employee of the Month” awards when she worked at the hospital. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, love and loyalty to family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards (not as much as Dad though!) and reading. ![]() One of Gladys’s favorite pastimes was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She hosted many family gatherings and could be found in the kitchen preparing large meals/baking buns for community events. The mayor of Baker once told her, “She had the best buns in Baker!” Throughout her life, Gladys loved to entertain friends and family. Gladys was an accomplished cook and baker. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Glendive Duplicate Bridge Club. Gladys was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Joplin, MT and American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT for over 50 years. Upon Don’s passing in 2010 she moved into Superior Care Villa where she resided until 2021 when she moved into Fallon Medical Nursing Home. In 1997 Randy and Donna purchased Hardware Hank and Gladys returned to work for them until 2010 when she retired. After selling the store she went to work in the Dietary Department at the Fallon Medical Hospital. Together they operated the store until 1988. ![]() In 1969 they followed their best friend’s advice and purchased the Gambles Store in Baker, MT where she has resided since. During this time Gladys was employed as an assistant postmistress for the US Postal Service and at Sandvik’s Department Store in Rudyard as a book keeper. To this union three children were born, Cheryl, in 1954, Rod in 1956 and Randy in 1957.Īfter Don’s military service, which took them to several states, Don and Gladys lived in Big Sandy and Opheim, MT before settling in Inverness, MT. She attended school in Hogeland, MT and graduated from Hogeland High School in 1950. Gladys was born Januto Otto and Mary (Wiedmer) Beck in Havre, MT. Gladys (Beck) Morris, 90, of Baker, Montana passed away peacefully on Februwith her family by her side. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the American Lutheran Church.īurial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery.
